Reflection

 

Through this service-learning project, I learned lots of things related to rooftop farming which I have never noticed before. For instance, I have never thought that organic rooftop farming can link up with so many different things. For doing this project, I did quite a lot of researches on rooftop farming. I found that rooftop farming not only literally means farming on a roof, but it also represents a spirit of sharing a better lifestyle with others. In fact, this concept is everywhere in our daily life. To be honest, I did not know much about rooftop farming before. But now, I do think that rooftop farming is an interesting and meaningful topic. I do want to engage in this industry in my future and hope that this industry can flourish more.

Through this service-learning project, I know more about the rooftop farming in Hong Kong, We can see its market potential in the future as “green living” is increasingly being seen as a really important element of our daily life. I never imagined that our rooftop can be a place for farming. It's good to make use of the rooftop place. Also, environmental problems are getting worse around the world, like global warming, etc. We need to take those problems seriously and try to help improve it. Rooftop farming is something that is beneficial for the environment and our lives. If we can develop this industry well in the future, it can reduce dependence on imported crops.
